EXPERIENCE

What is La Caverne du Pont Neuf by JR? +

La Caverne du Pont Neuf is a monumental installation by the artist JR celebrating the 40th anniversary of Christo’s wrapping of the Pont Neuf. This immersive structure transforms Paris’s oldest bridge into a 120-meter-long mineral cave. Equipped with Spectacles, visitors can discover an augmented reality artwork where the walls come to life to the rhythm of a sound creation by Thomas Bangalter. It is a free, multisensory experience that sits at the intersection of historical art and futuristic technology.

How does this experience with Specs differ from a classic visit? +

Whereas the classic visit is a simple walk-through, the experience with Specs overlays interactive 3D animations onto JR’s structure. Thanks to augmented reality and spatialized sound, the artwork comes to life all around you, transforming a simple walk across the bridge into a fully immersive, multisensory digital experience that is entirely new and unique.

How long does the visit with Specs last? +

The full immersive experience with the Spectacles lasts about 20 minutes. However, including check-in, equipment setup, and free wandering through the structure, you should allow approximately 45 to 60 minutes in total on site.

Is this experience with Specs paid? +

No, this experience offered by Specs is completely free.

Is the experience offered in multiple languages? +

Yes, in French and English.

is the AR experience available all night? +

No, the experience with Specs is only open during specific opening hours and requires a ticket for a specific time slot.
